The Great Martin Scorsese

"If you treat movie making as a career this class isn't for you. But if you need to make movies, if you feel like you can't rest until you've told this particular story that you're burning to tell, then I could be speaking to you."

Martin Scorsese, Masterclass Trailer

Just with saying those lines, I believe Martin Scorsese is a genius on the field. He does not believe that Filmaking is a career, is a form of life, an urgency to whom wants to tell their point of view through the screen.

Since I was a baby with any knowledge of who is Martin Scorsese whatsoever, his work has been praised and awarded with the Academy Awards, Rotten Tomatoes reviews of "Freshness", Emmy's, Golden Globe's, The Golden Palm from the Cannes Festival, BAFTA, a Directors Guild of America Awards and even a Legion of Honour. Is pretty obvious he is no joke in the film industry.

Hugo was one of the first films I saw from Scorsese and knew that it was from Scorsese. I not gonna lie, the movie is stunning, with the production and the photography. (Props to the team)

Here is a list of my favourites films from Scorsese:

"This talent for breaking the norm and opening up new cinematic avenues is one of Scorsese’s trademarks. He’s also noted for using dramatic slow motion and long tracking shots, such as the famous Copa Shot."

*Note: Robert De Niro and "Marty" (a.k.a Scorsese)  developed a long-term filmaking relationship. Making up to eight movies together.
