This years there has been many adaptations from books. While some of them were amazing and incredible, others were disappointing and unsatisfying. In this post, I have made a list about the best ones, including not only films but TV shows.
Based on the popular character from DC comics, this superhero movie had a great reception. The main character, Diana Prince, was played by Gal Gadot, who did a fantastic job. The special effects were awesome, as well as the plot and the cast. However, one of the best aspects of the films were the action scenes, which were stunning and fascinating. The film was directed by Patty Jenkins, and was released on June of 2017.
This TV show has been on air since 2014, and has 4 seasons that will soon become 5. The story was based on the books from Kass Morgan, although there are many changes from the novels. In the last season, which was released on February of 2017, new characters were introduced, as well as a plot which was different from the one we had seen in the previous seasons. Although there were several deaths that the fans are still moarning about, the season was a huge success.
This film is by far one of the most entertaining and crazy adaptations of Jane Austen's novel: Pride and prejudice. It is a parody of this romantic story, which contains the perfect excuse to show violence on the screen, also known as zombies. The cast has acclaimed actors and actresses, such as Lily James -who plays Elizabeth, the main character-, Matt Smith, Lena Headey or Sam Riley.
This is a famous british show, which is based on Sir Arthur Doyle'sSherlock Holmes detective stories. This year, season 4 was released, 3 years after the last one. With only a few episodes, many mysteries were revealed, and a huge plot-twist took place that left a lot of fans in shock. The main character is played by Benedict Cumberbatch, while his companion, Dr. Watson, is played by Martin Freeman.
