My 3 favorite book adaptations of this year (That I have watched)

I will be honest, I haven't watched many series or movies that have come out this year. This is  why the list consist of only 3 entries. The entries may probably not be the best content from this year, but  did enjoy it,  and that is what I believe counts. With this in mind, let's start the list.

3. 13 Reasons Why

One of the most popular series this year has been 13 Reasons Why and I only watched it because i wanted to jump on the bandwagon. I ended up enjoying it, although I found it to be a bit over average at best. The series is a Netflix exclusive based on the book with the same name by Jay Asher. It talks about a teenager girl called Hannah Baker  who commits suicide and leaves 7 cassette tapes in which she gives 13 reasons to why se has done it. Her friend Clay receives them ad starts listening to them to discover what happened.

The reason the series hooked me was that if Clay had received the tapes, he was in one of them. And I really wanted to know what he had done. by the time I arrived there I really wanted to see the series until the end.

The series was not polemic-free. Due to its portrayal of suicide, some people hated on it saying it romantiziced it while others praised it for giving awareness to these kind of topics. The main result of this was that it gained even more popularity.

2. A Series of Unfortunate Events

Based on the book series "A Series of Unfortunate Events" by Daniel Handler under the pseudonym Lemony Snicket, this Netflix series adapts the first four books and a second season is supposed too cover the next five books. Each book is developed in two chapters. The series follow the Baudeliere brothers as their parents are killed in a fire and they are sent to their supposed relative Count Olaf, who tries to kill them to get their fortune in many different.

The series is quite entretaining, with a fair amount of humor and drama alike. The pacing is quite good and it makes you want to keep watching. Overall, although not the best series out there, it is really entretaining.

3. Logan

My favorite movie of this year so far. I really loved. It is based on various stories of Marvel's character Wolverine, including Old Man Logan, one of my favorites. It talks about an aged Wolverine in which mutants are almost extinct. he takes careof a senile Charles Xabier. After some conflict he finds a girl who doesn't talk and he has to take care of her. I won't tell more in order not to spoil the movie.

Everything about it is great: the plot is interesting, the characters are likable, the action scenes are superb and it even has some moments that can make you cry. It is also the last movie with Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, or so has he said, so we might as well appreciate it while we can.
